Biography

IN BRIEF

Jonathan grew up in Montreal, the city in which he studied at College Jean-de-Brébeuf and attended the University of Montreal. Around the age of 14, Jonathan was drawn to the guitar. First influenced by the Red Hot Chili Peppers’s funk rock, he developed an interest in jazz and music theory while attending the college.

Jonathan played guitar and sang in the band “Fabulésion” which won the honours of second place at the 18th edition of the interprovincial contest Cégeps Rock. He has also been a musician for the project “Ève et les Immortels” .

From 2007 to 2008, he devoted himself exclusively to the composition of music for the movie “No Coincidence”.

His current projects are the band Sox On Cox (RHCP tribute band) and his jazz band in trio or quartet formula specializing in private events while being active on the Canadian jazz scene.

He teaches music and guitar in Montreal and runs an event-organizing enterprise ''Productions Lambert-Éthier S.E.N.C.''.
